This is where it all started...
In April 2013, Dr. Sanjay Goyal held his very first clinic in the small town of San Luis. Since then, this town has been a hub for our medical missions, with over a 800 repeat patients over the course of 8 years.
A typical day at the clinic starts early, when the patients are cautiously examined and checked for blood sugar levels, weight, height, temperature, and blood pressure by volunteer nursing students. Once the vitals are checked, the patients gather with the Mayor, volunteers and families to offer prayers for their wellbeing and healing. Thereafter, the patients eagerly await the doctor’s call for free consultations and medication. The medicine kits are carefully packed and contain enough supplies of Insulin and Metformin for patients to use until the next round of quarterly clinics.
These clinics not only act as a source of treatment for the patients but also help them adapt healthy lifestyles.
